A vase of flowers on the table, a well-cooled welcome drink in the fridge, soft towels in the bathroom, and a generally pleasant ambience throughout the rooms: everything is there to make sure you feel at ease in the foreign city. Not to forget the basic essentials already waiting for you in the kitchen: coffee, tea, sugar, salt, etc. so you can look forward to your first day without the unnecessary stress of having to shop.

In addition, the apartment has a separate, fully equipped built-in kitchen with an oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker and washing machine. The bathroom is tiled in a light colour and has a shower over the bath - so typical in Berlin. The lounge/bedroom and the hall have light-beech laminate flooring. The apartment is altogether 40 square metres.
Radio and cable television are available, as well as free Internet access via W-LAN. However, you should bring your own laptop with a USB socket.
The apartment is very conveniently situated for public transport. The closest bus stop is a one-minute walk away (bus number M46). This bus will take you to Wittenberg Platz, KaDeWe and the Kurfürstendamm in about 5 minutes, or to the Zoologischer Garten train station in less than ten. Once at Wittenberg Platz, you can get to Potsdamer Platz, the famous Gendarmenmarkt or Alexander Platz by travelling east on the U2. Take the U2 in the other direction, and you will reach the Berlin Messegelände (exhibition centre) or the Olympic Stadium in no time at all.
The underground station closest to the apartment is the U-Bahnhof (underground station) Eisenacher Strasse (U7), which you can walk to in about 5 minutes. This is another way of getting to Kurfürstendamm, travelling north on the U7, and takes about 10 minutes. You can get to the Kreuzberg district if you take the south-bound U7.
The apartment is situated in the Schöneberg district, in Barbarossastrasse, a very central but quiet location. It is on the raised ground floor of a well-kept house which was built in the sixties, and is very conveniently situated for public transport. The closest bus stop is a one-minute walk away (bus number M46). This bus will take you to Wittenberg Platz, KaDeWe and the Kurfürstendamm in about 5 minutes, or to the Zoologischer Garten train station in less than ten. Once at Wittenberg Platz, you can get to Potsdamer Platz, the famous Gendarmenmarkt or Alexander Platz by travelling east on the U2. As far as your self-catering is concerned, you will find a supermarket with a bakery and a butcher’s counter just a minute away. Walk a little further and you will find numerous grocery stores and discount drugstores. Should the worst come to the worst, a nearby garage is open all night and has a limited range of necessities.
