The closest underground station is Senefelderplatz which ist two stations from the center Alexanderplatz. You have also trams going downtown.
Parking is not free of charge. There are two ways to park: First, I'll get a so-called guest-vignette. This would be € 10.20 for 3 days, 1 week € 13.00, 2 weeks € 15.00, € 20.00 three weeks, four weeks cost € 25.00. For this I would need a copy of your registration certificate. Second, you bring your luggage in the apartment and then park your car outside the parking zone (http://www.berlin.de/imperia/md/images/bapankow/pip/karte_parkraumbewirtschaftung_zone_41_43.jpg).
