LODGE Berlin consists of four holiday apartments in a typical Berlin turn-of-the-century building in charming, bustilng Friedrichshain. Situated in the heart of Boxhagener Platz area, among cafés, bars and neigbourhood shops and only 20 minutes from other hot and hip districts such as Mitte, Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg (very good connections via public transport).
Our comfortably equipped two-room apartments (each with balcony!) are designed individually and their bamboo furnishing evokes southern flair.

The 2-room-apartment is to be found on the first floor of the front house (nonsmoking):
* 70 sqm typical turn-of-the-century apartment with stucco ornaments and wooden floor boards
* Big room (ca. 30 sqm): spacious lounge and bedroom with bamboo four-poster bed! (180 x 200 with separate mattresses), one single bed (90 x 200) as well as a cosy sofa bed. Spacious balcony with roof - TV, DVD, small multilingual library
* Small room (ca.15 sqm): bamboo double bed (140 x 200) and bamboo single bed (90 x 200), radio/CD-player, small multilingual library
* Complete kitchen with loads of room and fridge, gas stove (oven), coffee machine, water kettle, toaster etc.
* Separate bathroom with bath tub, window and hairdyer

By train
The closest station is Berlin-Ostbahnhof. From there get bus no. 240 (departs every 10 minutes from main entrance) and get off at the stop Boxhagener Platz – it takes less than 10 minutes. From here it´s only about 2 minutes to walk to the LODGE. Once you got off the bus, walk backwards and turn left into the first street: Gabriel-Max-Straße. Keep walking on your left hand side till you reach no. 2 – the LODGE house.
The same bus (240) also departs from the new main station (Hauptbahnhof). It takes 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the traffic.
From airport Schönefeld (SXF)
Follow the signs to S-Bahn (City train). Take S9 in northern direction (city) and get off after about 30 minutes at Warschauer Straße. From there it is a 10-minutes walk or catch Tram M13 for 2 stops (more detailed describtion below at "Finding the LODGE from S-Bahn station Warschauer Straße".
From airport Tegel (TXL)
There is several possibilities. Such as to catch the bus TXL to Alexanderplatz and change here to the underground U5 direction Hönow. After 7 minutes get off at Samariterstraße and walk about 8 minutes the the LODGE. Alternatively catch any S-Bahn from Alexanderplatz in eastern direction and get off at Ostkreuz station. Or you get bus X9 at Tegel and go to Jungfernstieg, there change into the Ringbahn to Ostkreuz station.

LODGE Berlin is situated right in the heart of Friedrichshain-South - an upcoming and in-district - or "Kiez" how Berliners call their neihbourhoods.
Not even 100 meters from the LODGE, Boxhagener Platz is to be found - the heart of the quarter with it´s food and organic market every saturday and a famous flea market every sunday.
The streets around the "Boxi" reflect Friedrichshain´s special flair.
Next to long-established retailers, you find various little shops, restaurants, bars, galleries, fashion labels and agencies.
Simon-Dach-Straße is located around the corner of the LODGE. This street is one of the Hot-Spots of the city by now, especially on the weekends. There is lots of bars and more... |
